Scabbards, Hangers, Holsters, etc.
If you wish to have a scabbard and appropriate belt/hanger or baldric for your weapon we have several styles to choose from. If you choose the “full leather” option for your swords we will supply you with a scabbard and either frog, belt/hanger or baldric for each weapon. For smaller budgets or a “bare bones” look you may also consider using only simple frogs to hold your weapons. These are supplied free of charge with each rented weapon although it is worth mentioning that some weapons with proportionately larger hilts (like epee bladed rapiers) may tip out of simple frogs and will need to be controlled by the actor if you go with this option. Some weapons, particularly those with unusually shaped or sized blades, do not have a scabbard available but can still be provided with the appropriate baldric or hanger.
Be sure to call ahead to make sure we have the exact pieces you need in the correct sizes and handedness. Generally speaking; baldrics fit any size of actor; belts/hangers are adjustable and come in medium and large sizes; frogs will fit on almost any belt. We have a very limited number of left handed hangers.
Basic nylon holsters are available for most handguns at a flat rate of $5.00 (total, no weekly charge). Shoulder holsters and period leather holsters are $2.50 per week (alone or with an associated firearm rental). Western holsters are also $2.50 – $5.00 per week or $5.00 – $7.50 per week if rented alone.
