Many shows have a very specific list of weapon-related props and what you will find below are packages we put together for “typical” versions of these productions. That said, we know that every production has its own specific needs so in most cases you may add or subtract items from these packages and we will adjust pricing accordingly.

Assassins

This show has the need for VERY specific prop firearms and we have done our best to select ones that look as close to the originals as possible and that are visually distinct from the others. We will send along a list of images of the actual firearms with your order. These prop firearms are all NON-FIRING. Most, but not all, have limited working action and can be cocked, etc. Please let us know if you have any questions.

The package included three various holsters as well as gun cases (not pictured) for each prop.

She Kills Monsters

SKM, by Qui Nguyen, is one of the most popular and oft-produced plays in recent years and, because of the Dungeons & Dragons-themed world in which much of the story takes place, the designers have a great deal of creative leeway when arming the characters. Several of the main characters (Tilly, Lilith, Agnes and Farrah the Faerie) have their weapons described in varying degrees and we have several options for each one.

Weapons are also needed for all of the monsters/NPC (Non-player characters) that our heroes encounter. We have propped this show many many times and can tell you that the exact number and style of weapons can vary greatly so we do not have a set package. We have options for each character and then, at the end of this section, we will include a range of possibilities for the NPCs.

The last two photos in the SKM section show our polypropylene (solid resin…no metal) versions that are tough, light and look pretty darn cool. These are especially great for younger performers.

Each weapon will have a scabbard (for blades) or frog (for axes and some oddly shaped blades). If there is no scabbard available it will be noted in the entry.

Tilly’s “cool-ass” Sword (The Eastern Blade of the Dreamwalker)
Tilly’s sword should be striking (no pun intended) and different than the other swords used by Agnes or the various monsters they will encounter.
The swords we have for her are either of the hand-and-a-half variety (the top two) or single handed (the bottom four).

Lilith’s Battle Axe
Lilith’s battle axe should be pretty intimidating and definitely two-handed. Most of the ones pictured below have wooden hafts and are one of a kind with the exception of the steel double-bladed axe in the photo. These are solid steel, ring brightly and we typically have quite a few of these in stock.

Farrah the Faerie’s Double Weapons
Farrah, like our previously mentioned heroes, is also pretty “bad ass” and fights with a pair of small blades, one in each hand.

Weapons for the NPCs (Non-Player Characters)
This is a selection of possible weapons for the many bugbears, monsters and other characters that inhabit the world of SKM. Check out our other pages for more standard swords, shields and other weapons.

Polypropylene (solid resin) Weapons
These prop weapons are all solid polypropylene (hard resin) and are heavy duty training weapons that are durable and easy to wield.

Hero Weapons
These are weapons selected for five of the main characters.

Non-Player Character Weapons
We picture these being used by the NPC’s. One of the clubs/staves might work nicely for Orcus too!

“Any Asylum-based Show”

We were asked to provide a double set of weapons for a Macbeth that was set in an insane asylum, complete with examination (experimental?!) rooms filled with various tools of the trade. We put together this package which were all used in some sort of staged violence. Please let us know if you have any questions.

The package has two of each of these props, as pictured below. Originally one was “bloodied” and the other was left “clean.”

Twelve Angry Men (aka: Twelve Angry Jurors)

One of the primary props in this show is a switchblade knife; the murder weapon allegedly used by the defendant to kill his father. There is an argument among the jurors that this knife is so distinctive in appearance that it could belong to no one other than the defendant and is further proof that he must be guilty…until Juror #8 produces an identical one!
When the knife appear in a close-up on film the details are easily seen (a sinuous blade and dragons on the grip) but on stage these fine details can be more difficult to discern. Our knives have a bright gold blade and bolsters and a marbled black grip which should help to distinguish them well.
(NOTE: These are dulled for safety. To perform the action of stabbing them into the table there will need to be a special panel inset into the table that will allow them to safely stick.)  Please let us know if you have any questions.

Peter Pan

One of the most popular shows out there (if our rental of hooks and pirate swords is any indication)!

Most productions of Peter Pan have their own specific weapon needs for the Pirates, Lost Boys and Neverlanders but all have a core of necessary weapons for the characters of Captain Hook, Peter Pan and Smee as seen in the first two photos below.

This top photo features full-bladed swords for Hook and Pan as well as a large steel-cuffed hook.

This photo below features a lighter bladed rapier and plain steel medium-sized hook for Captain Hook and a corresponding lighter and simpler sword for Peter.

WEAPONS FOR THE PIRATES (Hook’s Crew)

The photo below shows a good selection of weapons for Captain Hook’s crew (10 different weapons in all):
There are four cutlasses, two daggers, two pirate pistols, a boarding axe and a combination dagger/pistol weapon. Every weapon (except the combo pistol/dagger) comes with its own method of carry (frogs or holsters).
